Fun fact

The statue of Anonymus is popular because of its mysterious “faceless” appearance. He was the anonymous chronicler who wrote the first historical book about Hungarians in the 12th century. A legend surrounds his statue – it is said that if you touch the pen of the statue, it will bring you luck. Another legend says that touching the pen inspires writers, so if you’re suffering from writer’s block, do not miss touching it!

Next stop

Turn your back to Anonymus and go to the left side of the Hungarian Agricultural Museum. Before you get to the bridge, turn right and walk along the building where you will find the statue of Bela Lugosi aka Dracula on the right, just before the yellow bridge, at the corner of the building.
